1. LEGAL STATUS OF THE FOUNDATION

GLSMI Foundation for Music and Performing Arts Trust (formerly known as GLS Music Institute) is a legally recognized, public charitable trust officially registered under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882.

Registered Office: Guwahati, Assam, India.
Primary Objective: To advance education, skill development, and preservation in the field of music, traditional folk heritage, and the performing arts on a non-profit basis.

2. ACADEMIC & CERTIFICATION DISCLAIMER

Independent Curriculum: All certifications, grades (Preparatory to Advanced), and diplomas issued by the Foundation are part of our autonomous vocational skill-training program.
Employment & Recognition: Our certificates are designed to build self-reliance and commercial viability in independent musicians. While our curriculum is aligned with vocational standards and national skill development indicators, the acceptance of our certificates for specific government or private vacancies depends entirely on the terms and criteria set by the respective hiring department or employer. The Foundation makes no absolute guarantees regarding third-party job placements.

3. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & COPYRIGHT NOTICE

Proprietary Materials: All educational content, syllabus handbooks, preparatory grade books, lesson structures, course frameworks, and musical arrangements published on this website or distributed in physical formats are the exclusive intellectual property of the GLSMI Foundation for Music and Performing Arts Trust.
Strict Prohibition: Unauthorized copying, reproduction, distribution, scanning, or digital sharing of our grade books, index sheets, or the logo without explicit written consent from the Managing Trustee is strictly prohibited and will invite legal action under the Indian Copyright Act, 1957.

4. THIRD-PARTY AFFILIATIONS & LIABILITY

Affiliated Centers: The Foundation grants official affiliation to independent centers across various districts to teach our curriculum. However, each affiliated center operates as an independent administrative entity.
Liability Limit: The main Foundation trust shall not be held liable or legally responsible for local financial disputes, rent defaults, staff salary issues, local accidents, or unauthorized promises made by the owners or management of any affiliated center.

5. WEBSITE ACCURACY & MAINTENANCE

While we make every effort to ensure that all information regarding batch timings, fee structures, exam dates, and affiliation codes is accurate and updated on this website, administrative changes may occur. The Foundation reserves the right to modify course structures, evaluation criteria, or fee guidelines at its sole discretion without prior public notice.
